An outdoor, hands-on play experience where children use mud, sand, water, leaves and natural treasures to create, mix and explore.
From potion making to muddy recipes, little chefs can stir, scoop and build their own imaginative masterpieces. Just like grown-ups in the kitchen.

Pride in the Park
Join us on Saturday 21st June for a colourful family-friendly Pride BBQ celebration filled with fun activities, great food, and plenty of community spirit.
We’ll have plenty going on throughout the day, including:
Face painting
A selfie photo booth
Fruit kebab making
Colourful cookie decorating
A rainbow-themed trail around the park
BBQ (there will be reduced prices for dads as it’s Father’s Day)
Our fruit kebab making activity encourages children to get creative with healthy eating by building their own colourful fruit skewers, alongside fun cookie decorating with bright icing and toppings.

Harper's Day Teddy Bear's Picnic
We’ll meet at Harper’s Cafe and then go outside to eat and enjoy playing some games including pass the parcel and musical statues. Bring your own picnic blanket and teddy bears. £6 per child includes a packed lunch from Harper’s Cafe. Meal deals will be available for grownups on the day.
Nature Trail Scavenger Hunt
Join us for a fun outdoor adventure this spring with our Nature Trail Scavenger Hunt in Victoria Park. Perfect for curious kids and families who enjoy exploring the outdoors together.
Visit the till at the cafe, pay your money and collect your activity sheet, then head out into the park to follow the trail, answer the nature-themed questions and see what you can spot along the way. Once you’ve completed the trail, return to the café with your activity sheet and collect your sunflower and quiz. It’s the perfect excuse to stop in for a drink or bite to eat while you’re here.
At home, children can use what they’ve collected and the activity sheet to create their own nature mobile.
When your mobile is finished, tag Harper’s Café on Facebook with a photo of your creation. Our three favourite mobiles will win a café voucher.

Sports Day 2026
Join us for two fun-filled hours of old-school sports day fun. Think sack and egg and spoon races, bean bag tosses and more. It’s a great way for children and families to get active, play together, and enjoy some friendly competition.
This lively session is designed to be inclusive and fun for all ages, with a mix of simple games, team challenges, and classic races that everyone can take part in. It’s all about participation, teamwork, and having a great time together outdoors.
Just bring comfortable clothing and plenty of energy. We’ll take care of the rest!

A relaxed, hands-on activity where children and their parents can get creative while enjoying nature-inspired crafts. £5 per child (the price includes all materials).
Pancake Day Trail
Celebrate Pancake Day with our fun-filled Pancake Day Trail, running from 10am–2pm! Pick up your mystery quiz from the till inside the café and head out around the park to solve the clues. Once you’ve completed the trail, return your sheet to the café to claim your delicious pancake reward.
Choose your favourite toppings from fresh fruit, lemon, sugar, cinnamon, syrup and Nutella, and enjoy a well-earned treat after your adventure. A perfect activity for families and little explorers – come and have a flipping good time!
Just £3.50 per person. Please let us know if you would prefer vegan or gluten free pancakes when you book.
